Re: The 'What are you listening to?' thread
I finally have a car where I can stream music from my phone, so this summer I have been treating my family to GN'R on Spotify, with mixed result, inbetween children's radio (which is surprisingly good combining rock music, children songs, modern pop music, stories, and discussions).

Good to hear Mick is recovering - sometimes he's out of control too...

He had to have a heart surgery (valve replacement) and the Rolling Stones U.S tour was postponed. But he's doing well now.

As I read about Kim Fowley today here in the forum, this is a song by him (1967) and it is quite a trip...

Didn't know Lana Del Rey covered Sublime, until I read about today... (original song itself partly "covers" Gershwin's "Summertime")!

It's a great song. I really likes what Sublime did to it, but I also like the cover. Lana's version is very close to Sublime's.

Pretty much Hardschool on loop. By now I have listened more to this song than If The World, Rhiad, Scraped, This I Love and Prostitute combined

Re: The 'What are you listening to?' thread
Yes, very sad. I remember listening to Bubblegum for the first time. I bought the record after a glowing review I read in the newspaper. That day I was in exactly the right mood for that music. I had a bottle of red wine, was alone in my apartment, it was dark outside. I got hooked. Immediately bought his first record and since then he has been a favorite of mine. I think I only have 5-6 playlists on Spotify, Lanegan is one of them.

Re: The 'What are you listening to?' thread
After hearing/seeing an incredible concert, I listen a lot to Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds.

I didn't get to see Nick Cave this year, but I've seen him a few times through the years and it was always great.
