What are you listening to that's metal? Metal doesn't play nice with other genres so it needs its own thread.
Preferably true metal like thrash, black, death metal....
Kicking it off is Haiduk - Morph [melodic black metal]

Re: The Metal Thread
Welcome
I'm afraid I can't contribute much to the thread, as I generally don't listen to metal, except for mostly old - or very old - classic stuff (like early Black Sabbath and Motorhead - and I actually like proto-metal, e.g. Blue Cheer, more than metal) and few other things that caught my attention over the years.
Anyway, I discovered Voivod through their pretty good version of Astronomy Domine back in the day and I like some other songs from them. I believe they're progressive metal? Or thrash?

Re: The Metal Thread
I also liked Warrior Soul. That was a very good album, but got lost among the many great albums that were released that year (1991):

Not listening to metal, either
My brother-in-law plays for a few death metal bands here in Norway, though.

Re: The Metal Thread
Voivod are definitely considered metal. Definitely a weird band, though, and hard for me to get into. There are good parts here and there. Apparently they were thrash in the early days then moved to progressive metal.

Cool. Norway in the 90's had a well known and notorious black metal scene. A lot of death metal bands from there switched styles to black metal when it blew up.

Actually, living in Norway I'm sure you are already quite familiar with the black metal stuff...
I'll check out some of that Warrior Soul later, Blackstar. Sounds ok.

There's a band here in Greece, Rotting Christ. I've heard that they're highly regarded among the black/death metal crowd. I've never listened to them, though

Yeah, I have been to a show with Mayhem. Pretty cool, actually.
My brother-in-law's band is Exeloume. They are quite good in their genre, too.
