Check it out! Really diverse, original music!
Right now I listen to the Finns of Amorphis.

Haunting intro reminded me of something....Johan wrote:Again Leprous, a Norwegion Progressive Metal/Rock band I just discovered
then it came to me. Live in Leningrad era Yngwie. Then the vocals came in...
LOL! that was like my Mom yelling at me when I was little.

Ease Your Mind by American Graveyard. An acquired taste.

Did you continued listening after that? Cause there are more vocal styles in the song.

I'm a fan of Cemetery Western music so it sounds enticing. I'll google it. '
Nope, didn't find it. Is 12 Gauge a rapper?
Thanks for the embedment tip.
I was listening to Amorphus - it's epic BIG and I've only got bad earbuds in right now. I can only imagine a room filled with it. The beauty part is I live alone and rural so I can listen to music as loud as I want at any hour. Unfortunately I live so rural there is no internet access so I can't listen online at home.
I did play some of the instrumental above that DanyYo posted while playing Izzy Stradlin's Spazed on YouTube on counterpoint after jiggling it around in a bit of experimental mashup to amuse myself. Again the earbuds, but I was inspired by the last mashup I heard posted around by 5agge. He's good at it.

While I don't really care for it too much, our band has it on our repertoire..

No, it's a rock band. I got that song on some compilation but I have never found anything else from the band. I think they are gone.

Bad Religion is great, and this song is almost folksy. Very great on acoustic guitar, too, and easy to play and sing.

Brings back memories from early parties and my first girlfriend. The first song I heard from this album was Bullet with Butterfly Wings. The whole record is a great combination of great rockers, progressive songs and orchestrated ballads.

Re: The 'What are you listening to?' thread
That's the only Queens of the Stone Age song I know. A forum friend sent a copy of a compilation he'd made for himself. Turned me on to a lot of music I'd never heard before. Some of the songs on that compilation dovetailed nicely into compilations I had going - I've got one of all songs about cars and driving like Mike Ness's "I'm in Love with my Car". Hmmm, now I want to hear that.

I was a big fan of Kyuss and when they split up and QOTSA was formed it was natural for me to listen to them. Not as great as Kyuss but still cool. And QOTSA has evolved a lot during the years.

I'm at work listening to the pop-out jukebox on Tommy Stinson's website that is programmed with a shuffled playlist of Tommy's songs, all of which I have at home on my computer cuz I bought em.

Re: The 'What are you listening to?' thread
I bought Etta James' The Dreamer, Jerry Joseph & The Jackmormons' Mouthful of Copper and Diesel Finger's Red Neck Metal last night. I'll be listening to these for a while. Quite the juxtaposition but it's working for me.
Oh my gosh, I've become a drug dealer. That explains it.
