Really nice. Looked like winter landscape at first with snow dunes, before I saw it at a larger screen.

I was recently in Germany, again, just before the lockdown, Hannover and Göttingen. My least enjoyable trip to Germany! Very Happy

It is pretty simple. You need the lamb skin (or the part just underneath the skin) and then you stuff it with lamb meat and spices. We usually use ginger, salt and pepper - but I have also used garlic and other spices before. And then gelatin to help make it stick together. The lam skin is then sewed to a pouch and make sure it is all very tight. The big sausage is boiled and then put in saline water for 10 days. After that it is pressed and is ready to be eaten Smile It becomes a salty, spicy lab meat to be served cold together with cheese, charcuterie and other good food during Jul.

WRONG! I boil it after it has been in the saline solution. Then I press it. So press just after boiling.

WRONG! I boil it after it has been in the saline solution. Then I press it. So press just after boiling.

Nothing.

I will put them in the freezer and then take up enough for meals during Jul. We cut them in half and have spreads on them. Lovely with cheese.

Personally, I am getting a bit fed up with it. If it was up to me, we'd move further south. I have really tried to enjoy the snow with lots of skiing and so on, but I prefer running conditions all around the year.

Yeah, I can imagine that having snow fro most of the year can be as tiring as having sunny weather most of the time - even though most Greeks are not like me and they like our weather.

There is snow now in Northern Greece, especially in the mountains. But in Athens (and southern Greece in general) we haven't had any yet this winter - and if we have any it'll be for a couple of days and that'll be it, as usual.

I would probably not enjoy living somewhere where its warm all the time. I need proper seasons. Just a little bit less snow Smile Southernmost parts of Norway would be great.
