MySpace, January 15, 2009:
A note from Slash: Help me help the zoo

You all know that I’m crazy about animals, especially snakes. I’ve been going to the L.A. Zoo since I was a kid, and I can tell you what an awesome place it is.

I told my friends at the zoo that I would help them by spreading the word to my fans about what’s going on there today. If you love animals like I do, please take a few minutes to help me help the zoo. Time is of the essence! A vote is taking place on January 28th that could determine the future of elephants at the zoo!

The election of Barack Obama proved that when we join together to do the right thing, we can make a difference. Yes, we can! Please tell your friends, young and old, to get involved.

The L.A. Zoo is building a new habitat for Asian elephants which will be larger than the one at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, and larger than the field at Dodger Stadium. I was at the zoo last week, and I walked through the site of the new habitat. It’s huge. I talked to the keepers, and learned about the excellent care they give Billy and all the other zoo animals.

Some people are trying to stop the elephant habitat from being built, and remove Billy from the zoo. The Los Angeles City Council has turned this issue into a political hot potato, tossing it back and forth to committees and delaying the process. We need to get it back on track! Building this new elephant forest is the right thing for Billy, the right thing for the zoo, and the right thing for L.A. kids who, like me, believe the zoo is an important part of their lives.

You can find lots of information on ... Follow the links there to send e-mails to the city council. But don’t stop there! Go to your favorite blogs and write about this issue. There’s a Facebook Cause “Save Billy’s Home” that you can join. Share your thoughts on Myspace, Twitter, YouTube, and your own corner of the Web. Make your voices heard loudly!

Just wanted to update you on what's going to be happening in the next few weeks.
Week after next, I'm going into the studio to start recording. I've made a ton of headway getting some killer songs written with some very profound individuals over the last couple of months. It's going to be an amazing record. Next week, however, I'm going to do some guitar work for an instrumental version of Led Zeppelin's 'Kashmir', performed by Escala, an all-girl string quartet from the U.K.

weekly update!

hey, how is everybody? I start recording my solo cd today with Josh Freese on drums & Chris Chaney on bass, with Eric Valentine producing. I know you're saying "didn't Josh play with Axl's Guns N Roses?!" He did in the 90's for a while but left after a couple years, so I don't know if it counts much. Besides, that doesn't undermine that he is an amazing drummer.

I've been reading your messages & there is a handful of questions that a lot of you have in common. One question that a lot of you want to know is, who is singing on this record, but unfortunately, I can't divulge that info yet, but you'll know soon enough. I will say however, that they are fantastically talented songwriters who its been an honor to work & write with, to say the least.

Ok, that's all for this week, I'll be in touch next week with a progress report on the solo record sessions.

Cheers,

Hey gang, what's happening? Things are going fantastic in the studio, Josh Freese & Chris Chaney are one hell of a rhythm machine & the guitar sound is FAT! "fucking Awesome Tone!" All is going perfect so far. We start recording vocals today & I'm really excited about working with this particular individual, its going to be quite an event.

In reading your mail I find that I've been receiving a lot of questions about VR. Mostly about if we have found a new singer & if we're going to tour again. In response to the former, no we haven't found a singer yet. There was a lot of talk about our announcing a new singer in March but it obviously didn't happen. We had somebody that we thought was a really good candidate, but it just wasn't meant to be. So, we're still looking. In response to the latter question, of course VR is going to tour again, we just have to find the right person to front the band. We have a bunch of new material & we're all anxious to get going, but the key ingredient for a rock & roll band such as VR is an amazing frontman, & we haven't found the right man for the job, yet.

As far as upcoming events, I'll be playing the Quart Fest in Norway, June 30th with special guests. Also, I will be doing a few big shows TBA in support of my solo album at some point. I'm sure there will be some other gigs here & there as well, so stay tuned.

I think that pretty much covers it for now, VR is still looking for a lead vocalist & I'm busy in the studio getting this record together. Hopefully by the time I'm done with my record, Velvet Revolver will be announcing some new plans, if not before. R & F'n R! /,,/

Hey, hope you had a rock & Roll Easter weekend! We've nailed 4 killer tracks with 4 amazing vocals so far & nailing another one Tues, so things are going extremely well. Everybody who has contributed vocals so far have been flawless & the rhythm section, Josh & Chris are priceless. Eric Valentine is a genius producer, not to mention, his team is great. All in all this last couple of weeks have been a hell a lot of fun & we're just getting started. its definitely going to be a kick ass record, if I do say so myself. Iiii||; )

Hey, I hope everybody is doing well, these are some pretty harsh times we're experiencing at present. But, I feel optimistic that things are going to get better in relatively short order. I have faith in our new president, especially after 8 years of having absolutely no faith in the last one whatsoever. Obama seems to be on the path to righteousness, I guess we'll just have to watch & wait.

Anyway, hard at work in the studio, we are 6 tracks into it & it sounds really great, great playing & super killer tones, not to mention stellar vocals so far. I'm still not at liberty to publically divulge any singer's names, but trust me, they're amazing. I know a lot of you out there know who at least some of them are.

I will however, give you working titles for a couple songs; "we're all gonna die" is one, "These last words" is another. There is one song called "Crucify the dead" & another called "Beautiful, dangerous. We have about 8 songs left to record & I'm really excited about every one.

On the VR front, not a whole lot news to report singerwise , which is a drag. But, this is one of those situations where just when you're ready to give up, something great happens. So, we're hanging in there until then, no matter what.

That seems to be all that's fit to update, other then I missed Jeff Beck 2 nights in a row this week, which is a bummer. I did record some bitchin' guitar stuff instead though.........but still.

Ok boys & girls, gotta go, see you next week.

Hey all, as you may or may not know, the producers for American Idol have asked me to be the mentor for "Rock Week" next week. I was reluctant at 1st, but they offered me the freedom to do it however I wanted.

More importantly, there are a few singers this year who are really impressive. Its the 1st time any AI line-up has really caught my attention.

The approach I'm taking is different than usual on the show, & I'm going to make this as Rock & Roll an American Idol as possible, wish me luck!

Outside of that, things are going great in the studio, we are officially past the 1/2 way point, with some really cool collaborations coming up in the days & weeks ahead.

That's really all that's going on that's fit to write about, I'm mostly working, but I'm having a great time.

See you next week, cheers!

2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash Empty Re: 2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash

Post by Blackstar Mon Jul 05, 2021 4:47 pm

MySpace, May 8, 2009:
weekly update

What's happening all?!

By next Monday we will have 9 songs with vocals recorded. It really is a killer record so far & it sonically sounds amazing. We've recorded everything analog & that makes a huge difference in the most positive way. Eric Valentine is the perfect producer to handle all this spontaneous information & energy I've been throwing at him, he is really a one of a kind technician.

Its hard to explain, but I really needed this creative outlet to do stuff I haven't been at liberty to do in a LONG while. To be honest, I have been having a ridiculously good time working on this project.

And, the singers have all been genuinely awe inspiring & a pleasure to work with. They are the focus of what this record ultimately will sound like, regardless of how good the instruments sound. With their input, every session has had its own unique vibe & character & the songs have developed a personality unique to each individual vocalist, cool stuff.

Unfortunately, this record is not going to come out until next year, but its going to be worth the wait, I promise.

As for the topic of most interest to some of you, American Idol.
The American Idol adventure was quite an experience to say the least. I did my best to change it up by mentoring the singers at the Roxy & I brought some great musicians to play with me, Tommy Clufetos on drums, Keri Kelli on guitar & Chris Chaney on bass. Matt Rohdes, the keyboard player from the AI band also accompanied us & was indispensable in helping us navigate the key changes & edits that were necessary to perform the songs in the keys that the singers chose & in the time frame that fit the shows format etc. And, all in just a couple hours.

Although the show itself was way out of my comfort zone initially, we definitely altered the show's routine, for better or worse. The show staff & crew were super professional & sincerely went out of their way to make everything as painless & expeditious as possible. It wasn't a big spaz attack like on some TV productions.

As important, if not more so, the singers were great to work with as well. Adam (who I was not scouting to sing in VR, btw) was amazing, as was Alison, who was unceremoniously voted off prematurely, in my opinion. Danny & Kris were out of their element this week, but did the best they could under the circumstances. The judges, although unnecessarily harsh at times, were like rockstars themselves & Seacrest is the consumate professional, no matter what. Very interesting dynamics, more so in person than on TV. All in all it was a good time. But, the way I see it, as massive as AI is, it could do with an infusion of Rock & Roll on a regular basis. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints about the whole event.

Anyway, I worked in the studio around the show for those 3 days so as not to waste any time on my record & I'm working thru the weekend to get my schedule back to normal starting Monday, so I don't miss a beat.

That's it, have a great weekend & Happy Mother's Day to those of you who have, or are mothers! Talk to you next week.

Hey all, how's it going? I've been really busy with recording etc, I haven't been keeping in touch.

Outside of working on the record things have been quiet. No VR updates as of this writing, but I'm anxious to see something happen with an amazing frontman for the band in the not too distant future, whoever that might be.

My gig at the Quart Fest is coming up in Norway, June 30th. Which, is starting to come together. I'll post who all's playing next week, but it's a great line-up & the songs so far are shaping up to be a really great set.

As far as the record goes, we're almost done with vocals, 2 more songs left & a couple odds & ends. Then, I can stand back & see what we've got. It is a fucking awesome ensemble, that much I do know, with brilliant performances from each & every singer. I do hope to have a release date soon, but I can assure you, as I said before, it won't be this year. It will, most definitely, be out be very early in the new year. Even though the recording process is almost done, the legal logistics involved with so many different artists takes a minute to iron out.

When the record is released I plan on posting what gear was used on what songs; guitars, amps etc. Although, most of it was done with one guitar & 2 amps. A lot of interesting mike set-ups though. The record is being recorded anolog as well, this might be one of the last rock & roll records to be recorded that way, no joke. So, of course, I have to release it on vinyl, as well as cd.

Right then, I guess that's it. I'll have the Quart Fest line-up for you guys next week & anything else that comes up as well, have a good one.

Ola Hudson

Hello all, as some of you may already know, my mom (Ola Hudson) died 6:30am last Friday morning of Lung Cancer. This is a difficult time, but I have to share with you that she was the sweetest, warmest, most loving human being I've ever known (next to my grandmother on her side), as well as one of the most creative & talented. She was also the coolest Rock & Roll mom a Rock junkie like myself could ever possibly want to have. She was responsible for exposing me to a lot of the music that would influence me as a musician growing up. As well as introducing me to "the life" & priming me to survive this crazy business that I'm now in. But more importantly, she turned me on to all different forms of art & the importance of artistic self expression & creative communication thru music & dance from as early on as I can remember. She really was all things artistic & creative personified & the world is a lesser place without her.

I still haven't grasped fully that she is gone & this is going to take some time to process. But, I have gotten a lot of really genuine condolences from many of you & I want to tell you that I appreciate it more than you can possibly know. My family & I thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
Slash

Hey kids, it seems a certain unnamed individual, unnamed mostly because only a handful of people know or care who she is, is spewing really hateful shit about my wife & I to anybody on the net that will pick it up. I know this psycho woman well, she was once involved in GnR's career in the 80's but got fired because she's.........well, psycho. And, trust me everybody who has ever worked with her will attest to that with utmost enthusiasm. She also attempted a partnership with my wife not long ago, but her less than stable behaviour was the catalyst for an abrupt end to that relationship as well. So, now she is bitter & pissed off & trying as hard as she can to get attention through the media with a smear campaign using my mom's passing as her vehicle. Normally I wouldn't react to this nonsense & Perla & I wouldn't be fazed by her ranting, but the accusations she is spitting about the relationship between my mom & my wife & I are way below the belt & obviously intended to be as harmful as possible. I will handle this how I see fit, but I wanted my family, friends & fans to know that this individual is an intensely vindictive person who is out for blood anyway she can get it & her statements have absolutely no merit whatsoever. So, don't buy in to her bullshit, she's desperate for attention, & consumed with some misplaced entitlement or something worse.

Yours truly,

To all VR fans, the band had a meeting Monday & although we haven't found a new singer yet, this recent search has turned up a lot of really good singers, which is a step in the right direction. We're keeping our eyes & ears open & feeling really positive about our prospects for finding the right individual to front Velvet Revolver sooner than later. Although most of us have been keeping busy with personal projects, we haven't relinquished the quest. And, we are not, contrary to rumour, "waiting for a singer to fall in our laps." Lol

2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash Empty Re: 2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash

Post by Blackstar Mon Jul 05, 2021 5:18 pm

MySpace, August 9, 2009:
weekly update

Hey all, hope you're all good. I'm long between blogs, I know.

Anyway, I don't know how I'm supposed to wait until next year to put out this record! It is so fucking cool & I am so anxious to get it out already. We start mixing soon & that will be that, ready to go. But, I have to wait, there's no way around it, for all kinds of logistic reasons & that's the reality.

But, my VR bandmates & I had a meeting a couple of weeks ago & although the search for a singer will continue, I am going to tour on my solo record most likely thru next summer starting in March or April. We (VR) will keep the word of mouth system going & listening to submissions from singers & checking out different singer's sites etc, we know the right guy is out there somewhere. It's possible somebody could turn up before I do my tour & we could start working on new material sooner than later, in a perfect world.

As far as my tour is concerned, I have already started to put together ideas for a kickass band & the plan is to perform some new stuff, Snakepit, VR & Guns stuff. The new album is really great & deserves that I should support it. Plus, I'm really looking forward to getting out there & doing some gigs, its been more than a year since I was on a proper tour & all these one off jams are basically just a tease.

So, there's the update for now, I'm still tinkering away on the solo record but there really isn't much left to do on it but mix it, which starts in September.

Cool, Take care, talk to you soon,

Slash

Les' memorial was really nice, just friends & family, very private & low key in NYC. Les Paul is very loved & will always be with us.

I think this is the coolest show I've seen at The HOB so far, definitely the best vibe.

Going to the Viper Room is like going back in time a couple decades. Every time I go there, like a time warp. Cool, but disorienting.

Honoring Ozzy Osbourne with a lifetime achievement award on the Strip tonight.

I stand corrected, I'm honoring Ozzy with a tribute from the Sunset Strip, my bad.
September 12, 2009:
Jamming "Cold Gin" with Ace Frehley tonight, I'm going to have to learn it on the spot, I forgot how it goes.
That was cool, I went down to the Viper w/my buddy George & got to Jam w/Ace & his band, who were great, good times.
September 14, 2009:
Adding a new track to my record tomorrow with a largely unknown but brilliant female vocalist who has a little "Janis" to her voice.
September 21, 2009:
Busy week coming up, getting a couple tracks ready to go to Japan + doing a track w/Duff & Dave Grohl, cool.
September 23, 2009:
Doing a track for my record with Dave Grohl on drums & Duff on bass tonight, it promises to be killer.
Great jamming w/Duff & Grohl tonight, the track is a killer intrumental, very heavy.
September 24, 2009:
The infamous Teddy "Zig Zag" was just here laying down some Clavinet & Wurlitzer on a track, pretty funky part.
September 25, 2009:
We recorded some additional songs last week, now we're back to mixing, everything is sounding really good.

2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash Empty Re: 2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash

Post by Blackstar Mon Jul 05, 2021 5:27 pm

MySpace, September 28, 2009:
new update

Greetings all, how's everybody doing?

1st, I'd like to say thank you for your interest & support for VR & everything else I've got going on, you're fucking awesome, cheers!

Next, there are a lot of posts about the upcoming Vegas event, but the actual line-up for the Mirage gig Oct 2nd is: Tommy Clufetos on drums, Johnny Griparic on bass, Ted "Zig Zag" Andreadis on keys, John 5 on guitar, myself on guitar & Franky Perez, vocals. That, is basically the house band, my special guests that night are, more or less in this order: Rocco Deluca, Nicole Scherzinger, Courtney Love, Rick Nielson, Robin Zander & Joe Perry. Also, Matt Sorum is jamming a couple songs + there will be some other surprises. I also just got confirmation that the Joe Perry Project is playing as well, it promises to be a bitchin' evening. tickets are available through Mirage Entertainment on the Mirage website.

And, there is another gig I'm putting together for November 22nd for LA Youth Network or "LAYN" at the Henry Fonda Theater, I'll have line-up details for that event, which is a fund raiser & an awesome cause, soon enough.

Meanwhile, the solo record is in its mixing stage & the mixes to this point sound great. We have recorded 18 songs with one more I want to track in the next couple weeks. Regardless, the record is still slated for a Feb/March release.

Btw, a friend of mine hipped me to a wikkipedia site that focuses on the development of this album, the details of which are actually pretty accurate, although almost all of the alleged song titles are incorrect. Also, Jason Bonham does not appear on this album. Other than that its pretty right on.

That's all I've got for now, see you in Vegas,

Yours,
Slash iiii|; ),

2 Weeks Until LAYN Fundraiser

Hey, what's up?
We're a little more than 2 weeks away from the LAYN "Slash & friends" fundraiser, Nov 22nd at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood Ca. George Lopez is hosting an indulgent night of Rock & Roll with special guests, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, Perry Farrell, Chester Bennington, Andrew Stockdale, Franky Perez, Dave Navarro, Travis Barker, Chris Chaney & myself. The set is going to be killer & the whole event is supporting an awesome cause. Remaining tickets are available at:
Its going to be one for the books for sure.

The tracking for my record is completely done & we only have 3 songs left to mix. I'm extremely happy about how the whole thing turned out, I think you're going to dig it. Also, there is a single dropping in Japan this month that I did recorded with Koshi Inaba from the B'z. The song is called "Sahara" & is only available for sale in Japan & won't be on the domestic release of the cd. There is a surprise B-Side you gotta check out.

There you have it folks, hope to see you November 22nd at the Avalon.
MySpace, November 11, 2009:
HEY JAPAN:

Hey Japan Fans – On Wednesday, 11/11 (that's today to you), you will get the first taste of Slash’s upcoming solo album with the release of "Sahara." The new single is a collaboration with iconic B’z front man, Koshi Inaba. Included with the single is a b-side version of "Paradise City," featuring Fergie and Cypress Hill's B Real and Syn Dog. Look for it at your favorite music store.
For all you other fans outside of Japan – Keep your eyes out for those imports!

MySpace, December 2, 2009:
New Update

Hey, what's happening? I had planned on posting this sooner, but the holiday came & I got sidetracked. Anyway, I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving regardless. The fundraiser at the Avalon was a complete success, the concert raised 170k for LA Youth Network & made it possible for them to keep open their doors. If you were there thank you so much for your support. The gig itself was awesome, all the guests that appeared brought their A game, made a tremendous effort & really made it a special event. There were some fantastic moments up there that night for sure. I want to thank Ozzy, Perry Farrell, Billy Idol, Chester Bennington, Andrew Stockdale, Travis Barker, Dave Navarro, Steve Adler, Duff McKagan, Franky Perez, Chris Chaney & George Lopez for their selfless contributions. I want to thank the amazing crew who made the whole thing come off without a hitch & did it for little to nothing. And, everybody who donated generously to the cause. I also want to thank KLOS, The Huffington Post, the LA Times, the LA Weekly & Fox Sports News for their time & effort in helping to advertise & help make this a sellout Rock & Roll show, the likes of which could never be duplicated.

My solo record is about to go into mastering, it sounds really good already, but that's the final step in the recording process & then it is finished. There is a lot of really cool plans being made for the release of this album, its going to be a blast.

I have a new "Slash Model" Les Paul in the works, I just saw & played the 1st prototype, its killer. There is also a Marshall 100w amp being developed that I'm helping design that shouldn't be too far off as well. More news on both those items as it develops.

I'm also playing a few songs at the KLOS Christmas Party Dec 16th at the Nokia Theater along with Steve Lukather, Jason Bonham & a host of others which promises to be a good time I'm sure.

That's about it, talk to you soon. Iiii|; ),

2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash Empty Re: 2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash

Post by Blackstar Mon Jul 05, 2021 5:39 pm

MySpace, December 23, 2009:
Happy Holidays from Slash

Greetings enthusiasts, how is everybody doing this festive season? All's well over here in the City of Bangles. I'll be Staying in town for the holidays, but I'm doing a poker tourney in the Bahamas 1st week of January, which is a benefit for "The Foundation for AIDs Research," or AMFAR. It should be a cool trip & it’s for an important cause.

The mastering session of my solo record is done. We did it at Sterling Sound with George Marino, who is hands down the most genius mastering engineer I've ever worked with. He is the perfect engineer to best bring out the dynamic nuances of the analog recording & I'm ecstatic with the results.
Although, it is not in my nature to brag about how good the performances are or how good the songs are, I will say, between Eric Valentine & George Marino it is a fucking great sounding record.

We are now in the process of mixing the special bonus tracks which should be done next week. Then, we will master those & be done with the whole recording, mixing, mastering process.

I should be signing a US distribution deal in the coming days, I will announce who with as soon as I do. We're still looking at an April release so far.

I'll be at the NAMM show next year announcing the New "Slash model" Marshall, as well as a new signature Les Paul & a signature set of Seymour Duncan pick ups, all of which will be available early in the new year. I played the new "Slash model" prototype with the new Seymour Duncan pick ups at the KLOS Christmas Show at the Nokia recently & they sound fantastic. The performance was a little loose, but the guitar sounded great ; )

Anyway, things have been pretty busy around here. Until next time, have a great holiday & happy new year, 2010 is going to be killer! Iiiii|; ),

2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash Empty Re: 2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash

Post by Soulmonster Sun Jul 11, 2021 7:54 am

Is the woman Slash talks about here the same woman that had pestered him to get in contact with Steven? Her name was Martn-Cahn and she had some unhealthy fixation with Steven and tried to get in contact with him through Slash. Or is it another crazy woman?

My mom's service was today, I didn't go because it was made public by that hag.

But, I had a private service for her at the church this morning with my dad, it was really nice.

I'm not sure about the first quote, but I think that in the second one he means Arlett Vereecke. She was Slash's publicist in the early VR days and became at odds with Perla, Perla fired her and Arlett sued Slash.

https://www.a-4-d.com/t5302-2005-07-15-celebrity-justice-rock-legend-battles-over-money-slash

This is an email Arlett had sent to the admin of the chinesedemocracy.com forum in April 2006:
Just for the record, The Snakepit Website is run by a fan, not me. My name and address was only on there as a reference for press related matters. Linda Scott is a librarian, who was a big Slash fan, and started the website, as a tribute to him.
Because of all the turbulations in Slash's life, all caused by his wife, Linda, for now, is not continuing the website.
Slash married a prostitute, who's taking over his life, his finances, and his business, and got him involved in her voodoo business of killing animals, smearing animal's blood on their bodies, and filing lawsuits against everyone they ever said hello too.
Nobody wants to work or deal with him at this point.
Attorneys decline to represent Slash, manager do not want to represent him anymore,
VR would like to get rid of him, GNR does not want to have anything to do with him...all because of his wife's nastiness.
Until he has the balls to leave his wife, and take back his life, he's on his own.
All his friends left him, and she refuses to let him have any friends.

It's time for Slash to face his demon wife, put a stop to his madness and get back to the business of making music with his friends.
Nobody is too blame except Slash.
Sorry to disappoint you.
I'll attach herewith a beautiful shot of his wife's past occupation that appeared in a recent Hustler magazine spread.
Enjoy!

Arlett Vereecke

2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash Empty Re: 2009.MM.DD - MySpace/Twitter - Updates from Slash

Post by Blackstar Sun Jul 11, 2021 4:41 pm

This post at Snakepit.org from July 20, 2005 mentions that Perla and Arlett had started a partnership:

One big item of news tonight is that Slash is being sued by his former publicist, Arlett Vereecke (seen at left with Slash's son, Cash). Arlette has known Slash for years, going back to the beginning of Guns N'Roses. When he had no place to sleep or eat, she opened her home to him. When he had problems, she listened to him. Arlett is a publicist; and when Velvet Revolver needed a publicist, she was hired. Arlett and Scott Weiland crossed swords early on, and she was let go from that job. Arlett then became Slash's personal publicist, getting him all kinds of solo gigs. You may have seen him in a couple, one was the week co-hosting the "Jimmy Kimmel" show and another was the cartoon "Kid Notorious" show. Things were going so well that Slash, his wife Perla and Arlett formed a corporation to continue working on Slash's solo publicity work. Things started to go wrong, and the end came around the time of the missing top hat episode. Arlett says that Slash's wife came between them saying "She's on a power trip. It's all about her. She doesn't want Slash to be involved with anyone but her." During the past couple of years, several of Slash's closest circle have quit or been let go. Arlett remarked only that she still thinks highly of Slash but blames his wife for tossing her aside. It's certainly a sad day when Slash's loyal employees are being discarded and/or not paid for their work. Very few of us would do free work for millionaires. We hope that the lawsuit can be settled to everyone's satisfaction. Arlett certainly deserved to be paid for her work, and if anything happens with Adam Day, there will be a line around the block hoping to hire him. As of now, though, Adam is still working for Slash. We don't like to print sordid stories, but you can read all this in almost every music publication on the net.
