Guns N' Roses expects to fire off a summer CD

Guns N’ Roses fans who have been anticipating the long await ed next GNR CD can stop wondering when it will pop up. Axl Rose has been in the studio working on the disc since July, but that time has been spent mostly in pre-production, we re told. “He’s only seriously now in the studio recording, ’' says a rep. The estimated time of arrival for the album — which will feature the new GNR lineup of guitarist Robin Finch formerly of Nine Inch Nails), one-time Replacements bass player Tommy Stinson, drummer Josh Freeze and keyboardist Dizzy Reed — is now summer of '99. Rose probably won't lay plans to tour till the CD is done, but one never knows.
