Rosa's Pizza in Middle Village, Queens. They have 2 places in Maspeth, Queens too but the Middle Village one is the best. Hands down, the best pizza. Most people prefer the Sicilian slice to the regular slice though. I say, have 1 of each!

"New York style pizza" is often a choice at pizzerias over here in Norway; it'd be cool to taste it for real.

I have friends that I grew up with that have moved to other states and those states also have "NY style pizza" places and from what they tell me, they're not very good. Same goes with other states "NY bagel" shops

I guess that's the norm with most countries and trying to replicate another country's culture, food, etc. It's always a little off

I wouldn't be surprised if the shop is run by people emigrating from Norway in the early 20th century, holding on the traditional food from that period. There is often few people as conservative and patriotic as expats. I hear the Norwegian-Americans in Minnesota that left Norway in the 19th century and so on are rabid Norway patriots clinging to old Norwegian customs like celebrating our National holiday passionately while barely being able to speak the language. Whereas back in the fatherland we have adopted a more continental cuisine and are more lax in regards to nationalism. They'd be shocked.
