Biography:
Chris Pitman (born February 25, 1961) is an American musician best known for his involvement with the hard rock band Guns N' Roses. A multi-instrumentalist, Pitman is known to play keyboards, guitar and drums, in addition to his role as a lead or backing vocalist. Pitman currently fronts alternative rock band SexTapes and previously worked with such bands as Guns N' Roses, Lusk, Replicants and Tool. [From Wikipedia, August 2016].

Chris has been in the band for a long time now. I have a lot of respect for what he does and vice versa. We figure out who's going to do what, you know? Chris was my very first friend in the band - from before I was even in the band. From 2004. We were talking back then, and he was the first hug I ever got in Guns N' Roses! He's my bro. He is a very artistic guy, a great painter, great artist. Very interesting with electronic music. Great singer, too, and songwriter. His band, SexTapes - I don't know if you've heard that album, but it's fucking fantastic. The only way I can describe it is Tool meets David Bowie. That's what I get out of it when I hear it. It's really cool. So, I have something with Frank and Chris. It's Chris' brainchild - his baby. It's this electronic music where he brings in all these rock elements. I play live guitar, Frank plays live drums, and Chris is making all the crazy sounds and he's like the dj. We throw in some vocals, and it's called Blowout. We did a show down in Brazil, and it was fun as hell. I'm hoping we can get to do more of that. That was a great time, just the three of us having fun.[October 10, 2013]

I never really felt anything for Chris, but after tonight's show I have to say I love the guy! Totally bonkers on maracas and then, out of nowhere, he came up and sang with Neil Young during the ending of the last song when all the other guys stood behind too scared to come up. He's completely loco and seems to be having the time of his life all the time.

And he's probably right... but that's what many "fans" have wanted for years.

What bugs me more: he seemed to think he was gonna play Coachella, then management (or whoever) advised him to delete his post about that. So far so good. But it seems to me Axl doesn't even talk to his "friends" (it was mentioned that he wrote songs with Pitman etc)! Tommy knew nothing at all after Vegas 2014, it all sounds like the band members don't even have Axl's phone number to ask him what's going on... Doh!

So he is not rehearsing with the band, if the band is still rehearsing. Could mean he is out of the touring lineup, like his outburst also could have implied. We will find out soon.

Btw: I am in München today, was in Wien yesterday. Heidelberg last week. Zurich and Copenhagen next week. I am everywhere!
