Fred Coury stepped in for Steven who had broken his hand hitting a street lamp.
Line-up:
Axl Rose (vocals), Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitarist), Slash (lead guitarist), Duff McKagan (bass) and Fred Coury (drums).
Notes:
This show is usually said to have happened on December 31, 1987. It is listed as such on gnrontour and setlist.fm. In addition, Marc Canter's book, "Reckless Road", does not mention it taking place at the end of 1986. The ad below proves that it happened on December 31, 1986. The confusion is likely to stem from a poster found at gnrontour where it is referred to as a "1987 New Year's Eve Party." Another thing that indicates this show took place in 1986 and not 1987, is the fact that GN'R is listed pretty far down on the roster of attending bands, something they wouldn't have done if the show took place in December 1987 when they were the hottest band in Hollywood at the time.
