As the rock band Guns N’ Roses continue to fall apart, former members appear to be doing just fine in their solo careers. Although the future of Guns N’Roses remains uncertain, guitarist Gilby Clarke is not about to rest on his laurels. He recorded the excellent Pawnshop Guitars in 1995 and has followed that up with this year's solo album, The Hangover. Both solo projects were released on Paradigm Records and have garnered critical acclaim. The new release has just made its way to retail stores and is a fitting tribute to the Glory Days Of Rock & Roll. Clarke contributes rousing covers of the Beatles’ Happiness Is A Warm Gun and David Bowie’s Hang Onto Yourself. Once in the pop band Candy, Gilby came to Guns N’ Roses after the departure of Izzy Stradlin. He toured with the Gunners during the huge Use Your Illusion tour and recorded The Spaghetti Incident with the band in 1993. Gilby plans to assemble a band and tour until a decision is made about the outcome of Guns N’ Roses.
