Rock singer Axl Rose has joined the ranks of those sore-footed folks who wear orthopedic shoes.

The 29-year-old lead singer of the popular heavy metal band Guns N' Roses came to the Milwaukee County Medical Complex a few hours before his Friday concert in East Troy, about 30 miles south-west of Milwaukee.

Orthopedic surgeon Jeffery Johnson said the singer jumped from a stage and strained a ligament in the bottom of his left foot about a week ago.
