How drunk on a scale of 1 (completely sober) to 10 (dead)?
DRUNKENNESS TABLE
(Based on a person weighing 73 kg.)
--------------------------------
I'd say a good 5.
Scale | Blood alcohol concentration | Beer equivalents (no. of cans) | Effects |
1 (Sober) | 0.000-0.009 | 0 | You're sober. |
2 (Mild euphoria) | 0.010-0.029 | 1 | Behavior nearly normal by ordinary observation |
3 (Euphoria) | 0.030-0.045 | 2 | Mild euphoria, sociability, talkitiveness. Increased self-confidence; decreased inhibitions. Diminution of attention, judgment and control. Beginning of sensory-motor impairment. Loss of efficiency in finer performance tests |
4 (Mild excitement) | 0.046-0.060 | 2 | Emotional instability; loss of critical judgment. Impairment of perception, memory and comprehension. Decreased sensitory response; increased reaction time. Reduced visual acuity; peripheral vision and glare recovery. Sensory-motor incoordination; impaired balance. Drowsiness |
5 (Exitement) | 0.061-0.099 | 4 | Blunted feelings. Disinhibition. Extraversion. Reasoning. Depth perception. Peripheral vision. Glare recovery |
6 (Mild confusion) | 0.100-0.199 | 6-7 | Disorientation, mental confusion; dizziness. Exaggerated emotional states. Disturbances of vision and of perception of color, form, motion and dimensions. Increased pain threshold. Increased muscular incoordination; staggering gait; slurred speech. Apathy, lethargy |
7 (Confusion) | 0.200-0.299 | 9-10 | Loss of understanding. Impaired sensations. Severe motor impairment. Loss of consciousness. Memory blackout. |
8 (Stupor) | 0.300-0.399 | 15-17 | General inertia; approaching loss of motor functions. Markedly decreased response to stimuli. Marked muscular incoordination; inability to stand or walk. Vomiting; incontinence. Impaired consciousness; sleep or stupor |
9 (Coma) | 0.400-0.499 | 22-25 | Complete unconsciousness. Depressed or abolished reflexes . Subnormal body temperature . Incontinence. Impairment of circulation and respiration. Possible death |
10 (Death) | > 0.500 | >25 | Death from respiratory arrest. |
--------------------------------
I'd say a good 5.

Haha, thanks. Napoleon is my all time greatest hero. The man is so villified and all because he had ideas we would applaud today when they were advanced for the time. And what can I do you for? I got uppers, downers, and some inbetweeners...

Keep posting and you'll become a Tour Bus Driver so you could get me to the city. It's a waste to spoil a good five sitting here at home

Drinking a Guinness right now. Although not drunk, it wouldn't surprise me if after this fourpack I have I found myself slightly intoxicated

Good question. A 10 is death. So a two is at least not allowed to drive in Norway anymore. 2-3 drinks, probably.

Re: How drunk on a scale of 1 (completely sober) to 10 (dead)?
As man of science you need to come up with decent scales
1 - 0
2 - 1-2 drinks
3 3-4-5
4 6-7-8
5 9-13
6 14-18
and so on..
not exactly balanced....and not working. Maybe in alohol blood promillages it works better and it excludes factors like body weight, amount of food consumed before and while drinking.

I'm still at work. But merging 2 datasets with over 5000 observations each and correcting all the non-matches manually makes me already braindead enough, with taking a little break from it once in a while.
So, no vacation away from Norway this summer? I guess it's still not very practical with your daughter still so young.

The day care centre has been closed all July so we've had to take vacation this month. We have been working alternate days, for the most part, and we've had lost of visitors. When we've been home we've been working in the garden (taking down some trees, fixing a stairs, fixing a fence, and other things). Because of all these projects, and all the visitors, we didn't want to travel away on vacation.

A 6 yesterday. Drank silly beer.
Here's the picture of the beer:

Some Belgian brew with the most ridiculous bottle I have ever seen. But the beer was good. And strong.

Good work with the table! There are some gaps between # of cans however!
I only got around 3 or 4 this weekend.
I've seen those bottles, but never tried it. How would you describe the taste besides good and strong?

I don't know what to say about the taste. Tasted more and better than most types of lager. It was stronger in taste, but not really dark beer. The alcohol content was about 9 %.

We should have a scale for the different levels of being hangover. I am at a two. Meaning that I am dizzy, my head spins, I smell awful, and I look tired.
