Who is Guns N’ Roses?
Guns N’ Roses funs are buzzing about the band’s version of the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil,” which the group recorded for the film “Interview with the Vampire.” The soundtrack album won’t be out until Dec. 20, but rock radio stations are playing their advance copies of “Sympathy” as often as they can. With Guns N’ Roses beset by reports of defections and firings, who’s on this recording? That’s a good question that even the band’s record company can't answer. “We don’t know exactly who plays on it,” says a Geffen spokesman. Inquiries to Guns N’ Roses management, he said, were met with: “Just Guns N’ Roses.”
