Matt Sorum Says He Won't Perform With Guns N' Roses At The Troubadour

Ex-Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum has confirmed that he will not rejoin his former bandmates for tonight's GN'R concert at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.

Guns N' Roses has still not officially announced the lineup of musicians who will take the stage tonight beyond singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. But photos taken outside and inside the venues earlier today have revealed that keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer are all involved.

Asked by a fan on Twitter if he is going to perform with GN'R tonight, Sorum answered simply: "Nope"

Recent reports have suggested that Ferrer, who has been in the Guns lineup since 2006, will play the bulk of the show at the band's upcoming dates, although "Appetite For Destruction"-era drummer Steven Adler could appear as a special guest.

Sorum, who replaced Steven Adler in Guns N' Roses, recorded the highly successful albums "Use Your Illusion I" and "Use Your Illusion II" (both 1991) and "The Spaghetti Incident" (1994). He also supported the group on the "Use Your Illusion" tour and can be heard on Guns N' Roses' "Live Era: '87-'93" (1999) and "Greatest Hits" (2004).
