Tommy started playing Motivation in 2011, replacing the My Generation cover he had been doing previously in his "solo spot". Likewise, Bumblefoot would stop playing his solo guitar thing (Pink Panther) and instead play his own solo songs (Glad To Be Here and Abnormal). And DJ would of course to Ballad of Death and Mi Amor (which he hoped would be released by GN'R). Basically, band members started using GN'R shows more to showcase their own solo career, and apparently Axl was supportive of that.

Yeah, now that you mentioned it I sort of remembered about that.

I have followed the Axl lineup for its entire duration 1999-2015 but I would mostly pay attention when it was Axl singing. I remember the names of the "different" songs that he sang like Sailing, Back to USSR and a few others.

But man I couldn't care less when any of these other guys sang whatever song they sang!
