Axl Greased Up For Roses Record

Guns N’ Roses long-awaited follow-up to their 1991 studio album now looks like it might actually materialize before year’s end.

“November is looking possible. ... Axl [Rose] swears he’s going to deliver a record by late fall,” reports a source close to Rose. “The head guys at Interscope have heard what he’s doing, and everybody’s pretty excited - and they haven’t even heard the vocals. The tracks have been recorded for a long time, but Axl’s just starting to lay down the vocals.”

Rose is the only original member of GNR to appear on the disc. The lineup now features keyboardist Dizzy Reed, drummer Josh Freese, bassist Tommy Stinson and guitarists Robin Finck and Paul Huge.
