Mysterious Guns N’ Roses Teaser Hits Movie Screens Nationwide

Guns N' Roses fans who have hit cinemas this weekend to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens and other films are getting a pleasant surprise. According to several eyewitnesses, including one of our editors, three brief clips of "Welcome to the Jungle" are being played over black-and-white crowd footage during the pre-trailers programming - with no further explanation.

In other words, either something big is up with Guns N' Roses, or they're going for the world record in classic rock trolling. Combined with the band's recent website redesign, these new videos make it seem clear that the group is teasing a major announcement, although there's no indication of exactly what's in store yet.

On Thursday, Guns N' Roses updated the cover and profile photos on their Facebook page with black-and-white shots of a crowd similar to the one in the videos, including the one embedded below. There is no explanation given.

GN'R Reunion Is Now Being Advertised Before the New 'Star Wars' Movie, Duff Shares Rehearsal Photo

After updating their site with classic-lineup logo, Guns N' Roses have now seemingly begun advertising their reunion, as a mystery trailer began appearing in movie theaters before the new "Star Wars" movie.

The teaser shows the crowd going wild to "Welcome to the Jungle," but not a whole lot more. Watch the thing below.

Now additionally, bassist Duff McKagan shared a photo of himself practicing or jamming, along with a caption saying "LAMF."

"LAMF" are the letters written on Duff's bass amp during the Use Your Illusions tour and in the "Yesterdays" video, so yeah...

And finally, Metal Sludge reports that an insider has revealed that during early January, the band "will be in Los Angeles signing working agreements (contracts)" for the alleged reunion tour.

The insider, "who has life-long ties to countless artists," said that the group will also be "going to the studio to cut one or two new songs" during early 2016.

The source added that announcements are being prepared, and that the band will consist of "half and half (reunion) lineup that's been reported," which means Axl, Slash and Duff only.

Mysterious Guns N’ Roses Trailer at ‘Star Wars’ Showings Fuels Reunion Speculation (Updated)

It’s looking more and more likely that Guns N’ Roses’ classic lineup could be gearing up for a reunion announcement.

GNR’s website was recently updated with the rock band’s old logo of two silver revolvers wrapped with red roses. The Axl Rose-fronted group’s Facebook page has also been updated with a new profile photo of a live crowd, which some fans believe is a hint about an upcoming reunion tour.



Adding even more fuel to the fire, reports have surfaced that a mysterious trailer of crowd shots soundtracked by classic GNR tunes played during showings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens over the holiday weekend. Watch above.

As previously reported, Slash and Rose are now on good terms after years of bad blood. Slash, who left GNR in 1996, delivered the update on their relationship in an interview with Sweden’s Aftonbladet.

“It was probably way overdue, you know,” the guitarist said, declining to discuss potential reunion plans. “But it’s, you know, it’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative … dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long.”
