The long-awaited Guns N’ Roses concerts in Mexico are only two months away. And one of the venues is the Yucatan of course, where they will offer an explosive show on the esplanade of the Xmatkuil Fair. And the concert has been advertised on the walls of Mérida in the traditional Mexican way.

The excitement for this show is huge, and it can already be seen even on the fences.

It was in recent days when a series of images of fences in the street were spread through social networks, which were painted to promote the long-awaited concert scheduled for next October 15, where the Mexican band, Molotov, will open your show.

Guns N’ Roses concert in Mérida: 2 for 1

The organizers of the long-awaited concert of the American band Guns N’ Roses announced Wednesday different promotions for next weekend’s concert in which the Mexican band Molotov will also be performing.

According to what was announced, the sections being promoted are as follows:
– Extreme Zone (2×1 promotion)
– General Zone B (3×2 promotion)

As you may recall, Guns & Roses’ arrival in Mérida was expected one year ago, and will finally take place this Saturday, October 15 at the Centro de Espectáculos Montejo in the Xmatkuil Fair Grounds.

According to the information, the event will begin at 9:00 p.m. and will feature the Mexican band, Molotov.

The Guns N’ Roses staff arrived in Yucatán last weekend, and are already setting up the mega stage where the famous band, author of hits such as “Don’t Cry”, “Sweet Child O’ Mine”, “November Rain”, among others, will perform.

According to the box office page, the tickets that are already sold out are those of and Hospitality 2, which were respectively the cheapest and most expensive zones.

Guns N’ Roses opens tour in Mexico in front of 30 thousand Yucatecans in Xmatkuil

After a long wait, in front of almost 30 thousand fans, Guns n’ Roses rocked the Centro de Espectáculos Montejo in Xmatkuil.

The American band came out on stage after the 45 minutes played by Molotov, the opening band of the concert, who had the audience jumping and singing along with their well-known songs such as “Gimme the Power”, “Marciano” and “Frijolero”, among others.

At 9:50 p.m. the audience was finally able to see Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, who were greeted with screams and applause by the fans in attendance.

After two years of waiting due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic that prevented the band from performing in Mérida, finally the Yucatecans were able to enjoy live songs such as “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Sweet child of mine”, “It’s so easy”, “Browstone”, “Live and let die”, among others.

Among the surprises was the performance of an acoustic version of the song “Black Bird” by The Beatles.

One of the most euphoric moments was when Axl Rose shouted “Hello, Mérida!

After three hours of an impressive performance, the band said goodbye with the song “Paradise City”.

With this performance Guns N’ Roses began their tour of Mexico, their next concert will be on October 18 in Guadalajara, at the Akron Stadium, home of the Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara.

They will then play on October 21 in Mexico City at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, also known as Estadio Azul.

Finally, they will perform in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, on October 23 at the Mobil Super Stadium, home of Los Sultanes, a Mexican Baseball League team.
