Another segment - Slash talks about new GN'R music:
Interviewer: I know there was a time when, you know, GN’R fans thought they'd never see you guys on stage together and I just wanted to get what it's like being… kind of like these last five years of being back together.
Slash: It's been great, man. We got back together and it was really, sort of like, one of those huge question marks, and it was only to do the Coachella Festivals, really. And it just snowballed into this tour that's really been sort of going ever since then. But we've had a blast doing it and I’m really happy that, finally, after all those years of, like, negativity and whatnot, we got past all that, and managed to get back together, and go out and play. So, yeah, there is new material coming - I know everybody's always asking. I would imagine there'll be one or two songs that come out around the time that we hit the road in June.

Slash Is “Really Happy” Guns N’ Roses Got Past “All Those Years of Negativity,” Says More New Music Is Coming
The guitarist expects his legendary band to release new material by June
By Spencer Kaufman
It’s been roughly six years since Slash and Duff McKagan reunited with Axl Rose in Guns N’ Roses, and they have one of the most successful tours in rock history to show for it. Now, the band is working on new music, with fans hoping for the first GN’R album of original material featuring all three classic members in more than 30 years.
Guns N’ Roses’ “Not in This Lifetime Tour,” which ran from April 2016 through November 2019, raked in a whopping $584 million. GN’R continued touring in 2021, playing another round of successful US stadium and arena shows, adding millions more to that total. What’s more, the band has an extensive 2022 itinerary mapped out, mostly in Europe, South America, and Australia, plus a headlining appearance at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Florida (tickets available here).
Heavy Consequence caught up with Slash recently to discuss his new album from his band Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, and the guitarist was kind enough to briefly talk about Guns N’ Roses, as well.
As the name of the aforementioned GN’R tour implies, many fans thought they’d never see the day that Axl and Slash would share the stage again after a rift drove them apart for two decades — which is certainly not lost on Slash.
“It’s been great,” Slash told us of his reunion with Axl and Guns N’ Roses. “We got back together and it was really sort of like one of those huge question marks, and it was only to do the Coachella festivals, really. And it just snowballed into this tour that’s really been sort of going ever since then.”
He continued, “But we’ve had a blast doing it, and I’m really happy that finally after all those years of negativity and whatnot, that we got past all that, and managed to get together and go out and play.”
Starting last summer, Guns N’ Roses began rolling out new music, releasing the singles “Absurd” and “Hard Skool.” Both originated from the Chinese Democracy era sessions, but were reworked by the band’s current lineup.
As Slash let us know, more new music is on the way in the coming months. “There is new material coming — everybody’s always asking. I would imagine that there will be one or two songs that come out around the time that we hit the road in June.”
In the meantime, you can catch Slash on his current tour with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, with tickets available via Ticketmaster. And you can pick up tickets for Guns N’ Roses’ 2022 shows here.
