Article from when tickets went on sale, Vancouver Sun, Dec. 14, 1992:

Cold enough to freeze your Axl

When tickets for a Guns N’ Roses concert went on sale in Winnipeg over the weekend, about 50 hardy headbangers camped out in -20 C temperatures. They wanted to get a jump on the lineup.

“I just hope these guys don’t cancel. If they do I’ll cry. I’ve been here for 70-something hours,” said Destry Coutit, one of about 10 diehards hunkered down at the Winnipeg Arena since Wednesday.

In Winnipeg, 12,000 tickets were snapped up in four hours. The remaining 2,000 should be gone by the concert date.

[Referring to a review of the Winnipeg show in a local newspaper:]
Axl (Rose) and I are on the cover, and it’s a really horrible picture of me. I’ve got like 15 double chins. Really nice. But it was a good review and was a good show last night, really good, although we went on a bit late. Which is par for the course, I guess. [Edmonton Journal, March 26, 1993]
