1988.06.17 - L.A. Weekly - L.A. Dee Da (Axl, Slash, Izzy) 1988_084

Transcript (excerpt):
------------------------------

Bacterial Cultures Dept.: Lead singer Ken Chin of Canada’s SNFU had a sore throat, but that didn’t stop him and the band from spreading diseases around at Starlight Amphitheater in Boybank and Auntie’s Klub this weekend. But Axl Rose’s severe case of strep throat forced Guns N’ Roses to cancel out on their gig opening for Iron Maiden at The Forum. Coming to the rescue, and free of germs (in their esophaguses at least), L.A. Guns filled in, aided and abetted onstage by G&R-ers Izzy and Slash.
