Slash speaks about new album in BBC interview

Guitar legend Slash has revealed that his new solo album was quite easy to make. At an interview given to BBC's The Culture Show, the ex-Guns N' Roses axeman explained that he planned in advance and sent demos of specific songs to suitable vocalists. "I was fortunate that in the end the album came along easily" he added.

Slash also briefly discussed his upbringing and transition from dark Stoke-On-Trent in England to glitzy and bohemian Los Angeles.

Asked to comment on his selection by Time magazine as the number two electric guitarist of all time behind Jimi Hendrix, The Man With The Hat said it was "very humbling and awkward".

Slash will release his debut album as a solo artist in April. The project features a different guest vocalist on every track, including Dave Grohl, Chris Cornell, Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop and others.
