When Guns N' Roses were in Sydney last December. they did more than play loudly, incite violence and hang out late - they asked one of their idols to join them.
Peter Wells. guitarist with the legendary Rose Tattoo, was approached three times to join the Los Angeles-based quintet but passed on each occasion.
Wells lived on the Gold Coast and plays with the band Lucy De Sotte. He was a member of Rose Tattoo for seven years from 1976. Wells has also been a member of Buffalo. Scattered Aces and Illustrated Man.
He has semi-retired from rock n' roll, playing with his current band for fun.
Guns N' Roses have been long time fans of Rose Tattoo and during concerts praise the band for their contribution.
