Duff McKagen's Loaded, "The Taking"

Since his departure from Guns N’ Roses, bassist Duff McKagen has kept himself very busy with various projects, from solo work to Velvet Revolver and Jane’s Addiction. “Loaded” isn’t a new band for Duff. He formed the band back in 1999. It wasn’t until recently that it emerged into the mainstream eye. “The Taking” is the follow-up to “Sick.” It’s a darker album and a bit heavier. It kicks off with a bang on the first two tracks and continues throughout with exception of a couple of tracks. Over the entire album, Duff’s guitar riffs reign supreme. “The Taking” is not a hit-maker but more of an enjoyable artistic release for Duff.
