Seagal shows his musical chops

What a swell party it was at the Sunset Strip’s House of Blues the other night, when Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora joined blues artist Hook Herrera for a gig under the just-invented band name Blues, Incorporated. Slash of Guns N’ Roses was there, too. He and Sambora performed several tunes with —get ready, hold your breath — Steven Seagal. Yes, that's Seagal as in the ponytailed action-movie star, who had the intestinal fortitude to play numbers including “Crossroads" and "Shake Your Moneymaker."

Richie considers Seagal "good — absolutely. He held his own." Others on site were less enthused. In the words of another expert: "Diplomatic silence.”

What a swell party it was at the Sunset Strip’s House of Blues the other night, when Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora joined blues artist Hook Herrera for a gig under the just-invented band name Blues. Rick Allen of Def Leppard, Taj Mahal, Willie Nelson, and Slash of Guns N’ Roses were there, too. Slash joined Sambora onstage for several tunes along with — get ready, hold your breath — Steven Seagal. Yes, that’s Seagal as in the ponytailed action movie star.
