Three ex-members of Guns N' Roses may get their reunion after all, says their former singer.

No, not that singer.

Scott Weiland recently told Rolling Stone he may rejoin Velvet Revolver. The band has remained in limbo for the past half-decade or so, never finding the right singer to replace Weiland, who had gone back to his old band Stone Temple Pilots.

"I am completely open to it, and I know there are other guys in the band that are completely open to it," Weiland said. "There have been some things that have stood in the way that aren't anything that have to do with the band. But now we're sorting through things, and we want to start writing for some big film opportunities that have come our way, and try to set things up the way we set things up when we initially got together."

The band's first album, "Contraband," was a hit with fans and rock music critics. It released the less successful "Libertad" in 2007 and toured before Weiland departed. The band has since worked on solo projects, including books written by guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagen. But it hasn't done anything together since Weiland's departure.

"I think it's the perfect time for Velvet Revolver to get back together," said Weiland, who is still a member of Stone Temple Pilots. "Slash has done some great things, and I look forward to the opportunity to seeing him on my left and seeing Duff McKagan -- who, in my opinion, is without a doubt one
